Pizza Express

Bored of the regular pizza parlours i planned to visit Pizza Express. They are located in Colaba,Thane & Andheri. I visited the colaba outlet. I must say they make one of the finest Roman Pizza in Mumbai. One thing i was very exited about was the Dough balls. I had heard it tastes awesome. So first we ordered Dough Balls Doppio which comes with 3 different dips-pesto,pesto rosso & garlic butter. The garlic butter dip was fantastic. It had a bit taste of cheese. So dough balls impressed me alot. The names of the pizza they have are pretty hard to spell, so just point out the one which you want on the menu. We ordered The New Veneziana which was topped with pine kernels, mozarella, red olives & sultanas. Go for the thin crust pizza. The taste was pretty good & had something new to offer. We also tried out the Giardiniera Pizza which was one of the best pizza they offer. Topped with Mozzarela, Mushrooms, Cherry tomatoes, red pepper, olives & pesto base it was a delicious meal we had. The ambience is pretty cool to hangout with friends. Thier staff is polite & humble. You can see the chef's preparing pizza as they have open kitchen. Overall this is a good place for pizza lovers.

Sigree (Vashi)

I just search for a good family restaurant in Vashi & found this place called Sigree.

To start with it is located in Vashi the heart of Navi Mumbai.Tables to be booked in advance if going on weekends. The restaurant is on the 1st floor. You have some sweet mart on the ground floor. There are actually 2 restaurants on 1st floor one is the Sigree another is the Mainland China. I tried for the Sigree & entered. The staff is quite polite & will escort you to the table.

There are 2 systems one is the normal ordering system & another is buffet. I went for the buffet dinner. They began to serve starters. For vegetarian there were 4-5 starters of which I liked the dahi-tikki. Rest were average which included panner, mushroom & fried baby corn etc. The tomato soup was excellent. Then I began with the main course. It included of Salad, 2 vegetables, 2 types of roti (bread). They have brown naan for the health conscious people. The tatse of vegetables were like home cooked food. No artificial colours & soda added. The vegetable pulao was the best item available. Then the desserts were also normal. Try out the til jalebi & chocolate cake.

Pros- Nice staff, Ambience, Tatse.

Cons- Price, Variety.
